The shortlisted Team Pakistan (5+) returns to Lumora International School for a month-long funded intensive — daily physics fights, research labs, and problem defense, plus 3 months of virtual mentoring.

Who can apply?+
Every pre-university learner in Pakistan — students at schools and colleges as well as homeschoolers. There is no minimum grade, board or institution requirement: selection is purely merit-based through one national ranking.
University students are not eligible, per IYPT rules.
How does the selection work?+
Three earned stages: a proctored online physics test you can take from anywhere in Pakistan, an in-person written and practical round in major cities, and mentoring on real IYPT problems. The national top 10 enter a fully hosted 30-day residency in Islamabad, from which the final five are announced as Pakistan's team for IYPT 2027. One transparent national ranking and a published rubric at every stage.
What does the subscription fee cover — and is it refundable?+
The One Time Subscription Fee covers everything: online mentoring for all applicants, the AI-proctored test, in-person challenges, fully funded residencies in Islamabad for shortlisted students, and flights, stay and tournament entry for the final five. One payment — nothing more to pay at any stage.

What exactly is fully funded?+
For the final 5: flights, stay and tournament entry to IYPT 2027 in Auckland — fully funded. For the top 10: the entire month-long residency in Islamabad — accommodation, meals and training. For up to 50: the week-long boot camp residency, fully hosted. For the top 1000: on-site Mystery Box Challenge in major cities across Pakistan.
At every stage there are takeaways — national exposure and certificates for each round you clear. And even if you only register, you get immediate access to study literature and resources prepared by top faculty and mentors.

Do I need to be from a big city or a famous school?+
No. The first round is online and proctored, so you can take it from any city or village in Pakistan. The in-person round runs in major cities, and qualifying is based only on your ranking — talent is everywhere; PYIMS exists to find it.
How many students can apply from my school?+
As many as possible! Students participate individually, not as teams. We form teams randomly on the day of the on-site interview and Mystery Box Challenge — so the more students from your school, the better.
Can I really compete on an international stage?+
Yes. PYIMS believes that all it takes is an aptitude for science — you don't need prior tournament experience or special preparation. We are here to train and mentor you at multiple stages: from online guidance after registration, through intensive boot camps and a month-long residency, all the way to the world stage. If you have curiosity and drive, we'll help you get there.
